Municipal water projects demand robust and reliable flow measurement to ensure stable supply, accurate billing, and efficient resource management. Recently, Henan Panda Instrument successfully delivered a series of large-diameter electromagnetic flow meters (DN400–DN800) for a municipal water supply project in Tanzania.
In large-scale urban networks, challenges such as fluctuating flow rates, variable water quality, and long-term durability are critical concerns. To meet these requirements, the customer selected our remote type electromagnetic flow meters with rubber lining. The split design allows the transmitter and sensor to be installed separately, making it ideal for underground pits and harsh outdoor environments, while the rubber lining ensures excellent wear resistance and corrosion protection in raw water and treated water applications.
The installation phase has already been completed, with multiple units now in operation across the supply network. According to customer feedback, the flow meters have demonstrated stable measurement, easy integration into SCADA systems, and low maintenance needs. Their precise performance helps municipal operators reduce non-revenue water losses, optimize pumping station operation, and maintain consistent pressure across the distribution network.
This project marks another milestone for Henan Panda Instrument in supporting Africa’s municipal water infrastructure. By providing accurate, durable, and cost-effective electromagnetic flow meter solutions, we are proud to contribute to the reliable water supply that communities in Tanzania depend on every day.
