The Mechanical Metal Variable Area Flow Meter, also called mechanical rotameter, is a simple and reliable device for measuring liquid and gas flow rates in pipelines. Unlike digital rotameters with electronic transmitters, the mechanical type provides direct local indication through a pointer and scale, without requiring external power supply.
